Wrangling diverse ideas into coherent thoughts requires a Conceptual Design. In this stage of your project SES can help you explore design feasibility, identify risks, and start putting together models and renders for communicating your ideas with others.

Often called knowing that you’re “Building the Right It before building IT”, this is a step often missed during product development. It explores the feasibility of an idea with a minimal amount of effort before investing in a much more costly prototyping iteration loop.

The rubber meets the road when it’s time to build a prototype. Whether it’s a looks like, works-like, or pre-production prototype, having expertise on your side with a variety of manufacturing processes is an advantage. Having a partner that will stick with you through the iterative process (because there will be iterations) is also critical in seeing a final prototype that can validate your design.

Validation does not come without testing. Testing often requires much more than just using a product and may require building test equipment, documenting testing, and fixing your prototypes when inevitably they break. Using the same source for prototype iterations and testing also closes the loop and makes development faster.

Documentation is often considered a nuisance and misunderstood. Documentation should clearly constrain your product design so that it can be easily communicated to external vendors and fabricators as well as any other stakeholders.
